Clary Sage & Coriander. A member of the hardy sage herbal family, clary sage is native to the Northern Mediterranean, growing both in the wild and cultivated. It belongs to the Salvia genus.
Salvia derives from the Latin word "salvere" meaning "to be saved or healed". The Romans believed that sage granted immortality, a "herba sacra" and curative. The word clary comes from the Latin "clarus" or "clear".
The combination of clary sage and coriander results in a soft and sweet herbaceous fragrance with lavender, balsamic, and amber musky nuances, supported by lemongrass, spices, and a sensual base of lily of the valley.
